In my fifteen years of bodywork experience I have worked at UCSF, California Pacific Hospital, an Ayurvedic spa in the redwoods, and Natural Resources for expectant mothers. I have lovingly massaged hospice patients and expectant mothers, the elderly and the newborn, teenagers and their frazzled moms, athletes and the wheel-chair bound --with many plain old feel-good massages and body treatments for everyone in between! I'm a California state-certified MT and Reiki Master with training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Zero Balancing, Ayurveda, and Aromatherapy. My "Pacific Touch" is a rejuvenating and sustaining blend of skilled bodywork and energy balancing within the warm embrace of Reiki. I'm also a certified parent instructor with the original IAIM/World Institute of Nurturing Touch (WINC w/out Borders). Since 1995, it's been my delight and honor to teach parents and caregivers new and fun ways to create greater bonding, health and loving communication with their babies and children. Other interests: I'm a fiction and screenplay writer, and spiritual flamenco dancer. I love to walk the beaches, hike the hills, and browse the aisles at City Lights bookstore; to roast a garlic chicken or make a pot of red beans while listening to Johnny Cash or the Buena Vista Social Club. A San Francisco resident for over 25 years, I live in the beautiful Sunset District with my husband and son.
So then, What Can Massage Really do? On the Physical Level:
| In fourteen years, I’ve never had a massage with Kate that didn’t leave me feeling like peace had found my body’s address. And the psychological benefit is equally soothing: with Kate’s signature Reiki close after an hour (or hour and a half) of expert attention to your particular angst, you feel affirmed as a person. I can think of no higher recommendation. — Elizabeth P., San Francisco
